Annie Lennox
| Annie Lennox was born in Aberdeen Scotland on December 25 1954. Dorothy Farquharson, and Thomas Allison Lennox were her parents. Lennox took classes in piano, flute and harpsichord in the Royal Academy of Music London for three years in the 1970s. Lennox survived off a student's stipend, and worked part-time to help supplement her income. Lennox was of the opinion that her talents weren't as good as those of those of her Royal Academy classmates. So she began thinking about other options she could pursue. Lennox was a flute player in a 1976 band called Dragons Playground. She left the band prior to the group's appearance to I.T.V.s talent contest New Faces. She was the singer of The Tourists from 1977 until in 1980. It was here that she met Dave Stewart and together they created their duo Eurythmics. Lennox began work with Diva in 1992, her debut solo album. Both commercially as well as critically, it was an enormous achievement. Nostalgia Lennoxs Six solo album was released in the month of October 2014. is Nostalgia Lennox. The C.D. Lennox compiled her top blues soul tracks from her childhood. Lepidoptera is a collection of four tracks that she improvised for piano, which Lennox has released in May 2019. The E.P. is an accompanying piece for her installation of art in the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art titled"Now I'll Let You Go... It's also her first independently released album. Lennox, along with Dave Stewart, a fellow musician, went on to gain international recognition in the 1990s when they formed the Eurythmics. Medusa the 1995 studio album that features cover versions of popular songs such as No More I Love Yous and A Whiter Shade of Pale.
