Ashley Jones earned a Bachelor of Human Learning, K-8 in 1997 at the University of Tennessee at Martin. She started her career as an educator within Maury County where she taught kindergarten and the first graders Reading. Brent Jones moved from UT Martin to Thompsons Station after she got married. She began her teaching career with Bethesda Elementary, where she taught 4th grade. Between 1999 and 2000, she continued on to teach as she completed her Masters in Instruction at Trevecca Nazarene University but stepped away from the classroom when they welcomed their oldest son Baylor into their family in 2000. Ashley was a 15-year volunteer for the community, her church and her children. Ashley was an instructor of the Preschool as well as the Student Ministry at Thompson Station Church for over 13 years. Ashley spent three years at the home of her kids, and homeschooling them. Ashley taught History in the homeschool tutorial during their years of home schooling. God taught her family that while she liked doing homeschooling and having time with them, it was now time for Ashley to go back to the classroom. Brent and Ashley have five kids. Silas Eliza, and Cruz are both students at GCA. Baylor is a GCA graduate and plays baseball with UT Martin. Callan is a graduate of GCA, and attends Western Kentucky University. The family is made up of busy people who love to hunt, fish and cheer each other on during their favourite sport. Romans 8.28 For we know the truth in all things.
