Maureen FitzSimons, better known as Maureen O'Hara in America, was an exceptional child. But for a young Irish girl with talented parents and extended family these characteristics were a natural. Maureen was born in this cosy sanctuary on August 17th, 1920. Her family was her parents and family members. Marguerita Lea. FitzSimons made a name for herself with her contralto. Charles FitzSimons managed a Dublin-based company and was the owner of a portion of "The Shamrock Rovers," a renowned Irish soccer squad. Maureen FitzSimons was the daughter of Charles FitzSimons. Peggy, Florrie Charles B. Fitzsimons Margot Fitzsimons completed this lovely family. Maureen was a fan of rough and sports as a kid and was a pro in athletics. Additionally she was gifted to act. Her winning of almost every Feis prizes for her own country's theater and drama was a testament to this. When she was 14she was accepted into the Abbey Theater, where her dream was to pursue operatic singing as well as classical theater.
